Be you ever so high, you are not above the law
Last couple of weeks have been baleful for the Bollywood fraternity when two back to back court hearings have resigned two popular actiors in the form of Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt., behind bars for no one less than 5 years.
I wouldnt introspect and dissect their individual cases, because of its sheer futility and waste of intelligence. Neither would I buy the idea that popular figures are deliberately fillated and fried in public only to uphold the veracity of the judiciary.
It's easy for the public opinion to be swayed in favour of them, when media keeps pouring images and clips of their distraught selves. But, just give a thought on how it such sentences could act as a deterrent to other youth who would now shudder even at the thought of committing something like that.
I dont know whether an existence of an ideal society is a myth, but judgements such as this brings a society little closer to this myth.
