A proud moment..a symbolic one at that...

A month ago I wrote about my sister attending the Women Entreprenuers Program at IIM Bangalore. Today, she called me and was unconsolable on phone. She was crying and talking in an undecipherable voice. I could make out what she was trying to say. She was awarded the 1st prize in the business plan contest for this year's batch.
What overwhelmed her was 'she' was awarded the first prize. First among a group of competitor's where she was the youngest. most inexperienced. She felt she did not have the requisite public speaking/presentation skills as others. She felt she never has ever won an award of substantial importance in her lifetime.
Kudos to you my dear sis! This win is more symbolic than what meets the eye. This heralds the new beginning of a tough path that you have chosen to tread. This is the one of the ways of God to give you confidence and to tell you that you have taken the right decision in your life. Do not pay heed to what the society says. I know your peers are travelling abroad with there plum and cushy jobs. But you will have your day too. just keep putting your efforts.
I know you dont need any motivation, but just thought of sharing this:

IT'S NEVER OVER UNTIL YOU SAY IT'S OVER
The power to hold on in spite of everything, to endure, this is the quality of a winner.Your greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising every time you fail.
It's your constant and determined effortthat will eventually break down all resistanceand sweep all the barriers before you.Persistence means taking pains to overcome every obstacle,to do all that's necessary to reach your goal.
All great achievements require time.Endurance is the crowning quality of success.
